it started way back -- when I discovered that one of my children was allergic to a protein in cow’s milk and first realized that food is medicine, but it was a slow journey in which I had to overcome my own mental barriers and gradually transform the way I cooked and cared for my family in everyday lifestyle choices.
Fast forward a couple of decades to when I was in my 40s and leading a stressful life going back to school for nurse-midwifery while dealing with hormone changes. That was a lot.
Thankfully, I was studying a tremendous amount about hormones and the body. That said, I also found it necessary to do a lot of deep dives in research outside of class time!
Gradually, something truly inspiring started to take shape…
I was learning (still am!) how to apply what I’ve learned to my own life, and to the clients I serve, and I feel excited for the future.
I sleep good, I have energy, I’m bio-hacking and adjusting my nutrition and lifestyle to fit what my body needs and it’s a good feeling!
What I’ve learned has been life-transforming for both me and others. We do not need to stay stuck and miserable.
There is so much to undo in our culture’s idea of “normal”. Just because something is common does not mean it’s normal or optimal.
It’s a sad state that we’re in and it’s going to take effort to overcome it and reclaim our vitality and walk with confidence and strength into the future.

My Journey Into Becoming A Hormone Specialist Started Back In 1996 …Â
when I was dealing with a sick baby who I finally realized was allergic to a protein in cow’s milk that was coming through breast milk.
